1. Soft foam against loud basses
Depending on the acoustic characteristics of the listening room and speaker
placement, deep tones can sometimes seem too loud. If deep basses sound
uncomfortably loud in your listening room, we encourage you to push foam into
the bass reflex tube of your speaker. (Caution: not too deep, so that you can
get the foam out again with your fingers, if necessary). In some cases, you can
improve the bass audibly in this way.
2. In order to ensure a better acoustic decoupling of the speaker to the floor, some
standing speakers have an absorption option for spikes. Depending on your room
/ flooring, these spikes can be useful.
3. In order to achieve a better acoustic decoupling of the shelf and centre speakers
from the floor space, some of these speakers come with 4 self-adhesive rubber
feet.
To clean your Saxx speakers use preferably a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents.
The loudspeaker systems (woofers, midrange speakers) should only be cleaned if
heavily soiled, (small amounts of dust are irrelevant for the acoustics). This should
be done with a dry, soft cloth or a soft brush with very low pressure, as there is
a risk of damaging the membranes. We generally do not recommend cleaning the
tweeters because they are extremely sensitive to pressure!
Light dirt particles on fabric front frames can be removed by tapping, using a
vacuum cleaner, or by the use of sticky tape if the front frame has been taken off.
Heavier dirt particles can be removed by means of a dry foam cleaner. On no
account should the front frame be wet cleaned!
Please refer to the back of your speaker for your product's technical data.
