Connection To The Amplifier - Saxx CX 90 Bedienungsanleitung

Before connecting the speakers to your hi-fi or surround sound system, make sure
that the amplifier / receiver is off. For the connection you will need a twin-lead
loudspeaker cable for each speaker. For cable lengths of over 5 m, we recommend
a cross-sectional area of at least 2.5 mm2 per wire to avoid unnecessary power
losses. For a good contact, each wire at the cable ends must be stripped of
insulation about 10 mm and thus be bare.
Screw Terminals
To assist cable connection, there is a connector panel on the back of the speaker
with colour-coded screw terminals. Wires on the speaker cables are identified by
colour or shape. Connect the positive wire to the red terminal, the other wire to
the black terminal. Tighten the screws by hand. To ensure proper polarity, please
also check for the correct connection on your amplifier. Here too, the marked wire
connects to the (+) pole, the other to the black (-) screw terminal.
With some Saxx speakers you can choose between three operating modes.
a) Conventional operation
Do not remove the jumpers and
connect the speaker cables as shown
in the illustration.
