• Make sure that all electric connections and connection cables between the
devices of the camera system as well as the devices to be connected meet the
pertaining regulations and are in conformity with the operating instructions.
• In commercial institutions, make sure you observe the accident prevention regula-
tions of the commercial trade organisation for electric installations.
• In schools, training facilities, hobby and self-help workshops, qualified personnel
needs to supervise the operation of electronic devices.
• Also observe the safety notices and operating instructions of the other appliances
connected to the system.
• Please contact an expert in case you have any doubts about the mode of opera-
tion, the safety or connecting the appliances.
• Do not operate the devices unsupervised.
• When opening the covers or removing parts except where possible by hand, you
may expose live parts. Connections may also be live. Prior to aligning, cleaning,
service or repair work or exchanging parts or modules, you must separate the
appliances from all power sources if you need to open them. Only an expert fami-
liar with the risks and the pertinent regulations may repair or maintain an open live
appliance.
• Never plug-in or unplug the power packs with wet hands.
• Never tug on the power chords of the power packs, use the plug to unplug it from
the wall socket.
• Always unplug the power packs from the wall outlet during thunderstorms.
• Make sure that the power cables do not get squashed or damaged by sharp edges
when installing the devices.
• Never replace damaged power cables yourself! In such a case, remove them from
the net and take the devices to a workshop.

Battery Operation
• Open the battery compartment on the bottom
of the monitor by sliding the cover in the direc-
tion of the arrow.
• Insert 10 new alkaline baby batteries type C
with the right polarity into the battery compart-
ment. Only use batteries of the same type.
• Close the battery compartment carefully.
• The monitor is now ready for operation.
Due to the high power consumption of the
tube, battery operation is only possible for
a short time (max. 1 hour)!
Connecting the Monitor to a Recording
Device
• Connect an AV cinch cable with the AV cinch input of a suitable recording device
or TV system and the AV cinch output (23) on the monitor (white plug = audio
(sound in mono), yellow plug = video).
• Connect the low-voltage plug of the power pack (14) with the power supply socket
of the monitor (28).
Observe the correct output voltage of 13,5 V DC!
• Now plug the power pack into a suitable wall outlet.
• Turn the monitor on by turning the operating switch (18).
• The monitor is now ready for operation.
In order to avoid distortions or maladjustment that may lead to
damages to the device, you may only connect the audio connec-
tion plug (with) with an audio cinch input.
The video connection plug (yellow) may only be connected to a
video cinch input.
If you are not sure about the proper connection, contact our tech-
nical service or another expert.
