8.5.3 Additionally there is a low-impedance 8 Ohms output. Low Ohm speakers shall be
connected to the COM und 8Ω terminals. This output is – as well as the MUSIC/SPEECH-
output – always active. If multiple low ohms speakers have to be connected, they have to be
wired in groups in a way, that the resulting impedance will be between 8 and 16 Ohms.
Special attention has to be paid to the power handling of the speaker chassis, since – in a
different way from a 100V-system – even one (!) speaker with rated impedance will get the
hole amplifiers power.
8.6 Inputs
Balanced and unbalanced inputs are available:
8.6.1 MUSIC INPUT, MUSIC OUTPUT balanced – main input
The electronically balanced input is equipped with 4 internally parallel wired connectors:
1x XLR female, 1x XLR-male loop output and 2x three pole jacks 6.35 mm. Pin layout is as follows:
1 = GND, shield
2 = + input
3 = – input
2x 3-pole jack:
8.6.2 MUSIC INPUT, MUSIC OUTPUT unbalanced:
The two unbalanced RCA-connectors „MUSIC INPUT" are internally paralleled via two resistors, in
that way, that Stereo audio sources will be added to Mono. In opposition to the balanced MUSIC
OUTPUT, which is simply wired in parallel to the MUSIC INPUT connector, a buffer amplifier is
inserted in the signal path of the unbalanced RCA-outputs. This will decouple the unbalanced
output from the input.

8.6.3 MIC/LINE-Input – Priority Input
By means of the slide switch SENS(SITIVITY) this electronically balanced input can be used as a
MIC or LINE add-on input. On the front side of the devices, volume level can be adjusted
separately with the MIC/LINE control. Furthermore for this input an automatic switch function (Vox)
is provided, which mutes the main input as audio signal is present. The main input is also muted by
shorting the priority control input.
Pin layout of the XLR-female connector is wired in the same way as the main input.
