8.2 Connection Standby Power Source 24 V DC
In case a Standby Power Source is connected, the device continues to operate at mains power
failure without any interruption.
It has to be kept in mind, that the mains power switch will not act on DC-power. So at present
standby power source, the amplifier is always operating.
The devices can also be operated in normal condition via a 24 V DC power source instead of
230 V AC. If operated solely from battery power, it is recommended to earth the unit by the copper
coloured screw.

8.3 Remote Start

A built in relay bypasses the mains power switch as 24 V DC is connected to the REMOTE START
connection. To do so, of course the mains power switch has to be set to the OFF-position (0).
Remote start will not work at 24 V DC-operation.
8.4 Mains Power Switch
The mains power switch is working only on the main power source, not on the standby power
source (24 V DC).
8.5 Speaker Outputs
3 different outputs are available:
8.5.1 The MUSIC/SPEECH-output is the main output which provides all audio signals at any
time.
8.5.2 The SPEECH ONLY-output is only active, if the PRIORITY-control input is shorted. It
can be used for areas, in which only announcements and no background music shall be
distributed.
