Carrying out an alcohol test
Before an alcohol test, a person should not smoke, eat or drink anything during 15 min-
utes preceding the test.
Otherwise, the test results could be distorted and alcohol tester damaged!
Other things that may distort the test results are e.g., spirit-based oral sprays, medi-
cines and drops, as well as vomiting and belching.
If the capacity of the rechargeable battery is less than 25%, charge it before starting
the test.
• Before the test can be started, the person to be tested should first rinse mouth with water or a
non-alcoholic beverage.
• Switch on the alcohol tester. The battery must be charged and a new or cleaned mouthpiece
inserted. Set all desired settings such as time or measuring units beforehand.
• Your can perform either a rapid test or a detailed official test.
Rapid testing
• Open the item "Quick" in the main menu.
• Let the person to be tested blow into the mouthpiece until the alcohol beeps or clicking sound is
heard.
• The result will appear on the display.
• In addition, there is a possibility of performing a test without the need for the person to be tested
to blow into the device. It can be useful e.g., when a person is already heavily drunk. In this case,
it is enough to keep the alcohol tester in the vicinity of the mouth or nose of the person to be
tested.
Then press the "OK" button on the device to initiate the test. And again, the result will appear on
the display.
Detailed testing
• Open the item "Test" in the main menu.
• Please in turn: name of the driver; license plate; place; driver's ID; name of the testing person.
Confirm individual entries by "Ok" on the touchscreen. Thus, you will move to the next entry. At
that, input is done with letters and numbers on the touchscreen. If you do not wish to complete
fields, just skip them with "OK" on the touchscreen.
• Once "Ready" and "Please Blow" appear on display, let the person to be tested blow into the
mouthpiece for about 6 seconds. The alcohol tester will beep at the same time. Once the beep
tone sounds, the test is completed. A clicking sound is also heard then.
• The result will appear on the display. Besides, it will be automatically saved and can be recalled
in the menu item "Record".
If blowing into mouthpiece has been too short, the beep tone will be heard and the
message "Blow too Short" will be displayed. Then tap on the "Retest" and repeat the
test.
