22. The appliance may be used by children 8 years or older and by persons with reduced physical or mental
capabilities, if they are under supervision or if they have been instructed in the use of the appliance in
a safe manner and understand the potential risks. Children must not play with the appliance. Children
must not carry our cleaning and maintenance of the appliance, unless they are 8 years or older and
under supervision. Children younger than 8 years have to be kept away from the appliance and its power
supply.
Attention: The induction hob may interfere with radio waves. Therefore place the induction hob as far as
possible from radio or tv set.

Attention: Do not touch the cooktop with hands, it is still hot after cooking and must cool down! The residual
heat may cause burns by the heat which was transferred from the heated bottom of the pot to the hob.
The principle and the advantages of induction heating
The main advantage of the induction heating is the elimination of heat losses, because it heats the bottom
of the pot directly. If you are using electrical hobs with burners or ceramic glass cooktop, the burner or the
cooktop heats up always fi rst and then is the heat transferred to the bottom of the pot. This transition is the
source of high heat losses, especially when the bottom of the pot and the cooktop do not fi t exactly to each
