Inserting the batteries

Turn the knob MODE in direction OFF (if the knob is not in this position).
The device needs three 9 V Blocks. Use only
long-life alkaline batteries. Open both battery
compartments on the backside of the device
and first insert the battery in the single
compartment and then two batteries into the
double battery compartment. Observe the right
polarity symbols inside the battery compartments. For better removing the
batteries, apply the textile ribbon below the batteries.
Close the battery compartments by snapping into place.
Check the batteries periodically to achieve constant measuring results.

Checking the batteries

Turn the knob MODE to VLF.
For testing the battery in the single compartment, push
the slide-switch in direction B1. For testing the batteries
in the double compartment, push the switch in direction
B2.
The measuring display shows the status of each
battery. If the pointer is in the green area BATT the
batteries are good. If the pointer does not reach the
green area, replace the regarding batteries.
After testing push the slide-switch to OPERATE.

Adjusting the device

Turn the knob MODE to OFF and adjust the
pointer with the adjusting screw. Use a
suitable screwdriver. The pointer has to be in
central position (Zero). This adjustment is only
necessary, if the pointer is not in the central
position.
