Mulching

CAUTION!

Improper handling of the lawn mower may result in injury.
− Never open the protective flap when mowing without the
grass collection bag. Cuttings and other objects will be
discharged at a high speed.
When mulch mowing, the grass is only shortened by one to two centimetres and the
cuttings are not collected – so you mow without the grass collection bag
In the case of a healthy lawn that is free of moss and weeds, regular mulching saves a
large amount of fertiliser as the organisms in the soil produce nutrients for your lawn
in an environmentally-friendly manner – this was shown in a study by the University
of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna.

After mowing

− Switch the lawn mower off (see chapter "Switching the lawn mower on and off")
and disconnect the lawn mower from the power supply.
− Make sure that all moving parts come to a complete stop.
− Let the lawn mower cool off.

Faulty electrical installation or excessive mains voltage may result
in an electric shock.
− Always be sure to unplug the extension cord before cleaning
or maintaining the lawn mower to prevent an electric shock or
the motor from being started accidentally.
