This personal protection equipment (PSA) has been tested according to the
EU-standards 89/686/EWG and has been marked with the CE-sign. That
means that it gives a limited protection within the field of use, but cannot
avoid all injuries.
CORRECT ADJUSTMENT
The backpack can only give the desired protection and keep its position in
the case of an accident, if it is adjusted correctly and the belts are completely
closed. This has to be done in the following steps:
1. Put on the backpack with loose shoulder belts.
2. Thighten the hip belt, fix it with the pre-stretched Velcro fastener and close
the buckle. The belt should partially cover the upper part of your hip bones
and the waist.
3. Thighten the shoulder belts without changing the position of the backpack.
4. Close the chest strap and thighten it too.
All the straps, especially the ones for fixing the skis, snowboards and axes
have to be strongly thightend or have to be removed in order to avoid that the
back pack can get caught.
