Before Initial Use

CAUTION!
■ You might notice a strange smell the fi rst time you use the device. We thus recom-
mend that you operate the device at maximum roasting time without bread or rolls
for the fi rst time. To do so, turn the controller to level 6. During this time, make sure
the room is well ventilated, for example, with wide-open windows!
■ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of
suffocation!
1. Unpack all parts and check the scope of supply for completeness and transport
damage (see section "Scope of Supply and Device Overview"). If you fi nd any dam-
age to the components, do not use them (!), but contact our Customer Service de-
partment.
2. Place the device on a clean, level, fi rm and heat-resistant surface at a suffi cient dis-
tance to fl ammable objects. Make sure that the device is not accessible to children.
3. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed and earthed 230 V-240V mains socket
with earthing contacts. A signal tone sounds.
The device is now ready for operation!
