INTENDED USE
Your DE0882 pole has been designed to extend the
capabilities of your D WALT DW088 or DW089 laser.

ASSEMBLY
WARNING! Always read the instruction
manual of the tool to be used with this
attachment.
Assembling the Pole and Laser
(fi g. 1, 2)
The pole consists of five sections when fully
assembled.
1. Hold the base section (a) with one hand while
fitting one of the sections (b or c) into the
threaded end.
2. Insert platform (d) onto one of the sections as
shown in figure 2. Fit sections accordingly until
the desired height is reached.
NOTE: Use a combination of the long and short
sections until the ceiling pad is a little lower than
the ceiling.
To Extend the Pole (fi g. 1, 5)
The base section (a) allows adjustment of the pole
for a snug fit.
1. Flip the foot pedal (f) down.
2. Step on the foot pedal to compress the spring
as you extend the pole until the ceiling pad (g) is
firmly against ceiling.
3. Release the foot pedal.
4. Ensure the pole is vertical using the bubble level
(h) located on the platform.
NOTE: It is not necessary to press the release
button (j) when extending the pole.
TO MOUNT LASER (FIG. 4)
WARNING: Before mounting the laser
onto the pole, ensure the pole is firmly
set and wobble free.

1. Move the platform (d) to desired level. Tighten
the platform knob (e).
2. Place the threaded hole in the bottom of the
laser onto the threaded pin on the rotating
mount (i).
3. Turn the rotating mount to secure laser.
TO RELEASE POLE (FIG. 3)
1. Remove laser from the platform.
2. Step on the foot pedal (f) to compress the
spring.
3. Tilt the pole away from the ceiling.
4. Press the release button (j) to retract the base
section.

not be disposed of with normal
household waste.
Should you find one day that your D
needs replacement, or if it is of no further use to you,
do not dispose of it with household waste. Make this
product available for separate collection.
Separate collection of used products
and packaging allows materials to be
recycled and used again. Re-use of
recycled materials helps prevent
environmental pollution and reduces
the demand for raw materials.
Local regulations may provide for separate collection
of electrical products from the household, at
municipal waste sites or by the retailer when you
purchase a new product.

reached the end of their working life. To take
advantage of this service please return your product
to any authorised repair agent who will collect them
on our behalf.
