Installation

The LANCOM vRouter is operated on a VMware ESXi server. The following
describes the prerequisites and steps for a successful installation.
Prerequisites
Following requirements must be met to successfully install the LANCOM
vRouter on a VMware ESXi server:
A The LANCOM vRouter is available as an OVA file.
A VMware ESXi 6.0.0 or higher is running on a server with the Intel XEON
processor with the AES extended instruction set (Intel AES-NI) and
hardware virtualization (Intel VT-x).
A VMware vSphere Client 6.0.0 or later must be installed on the device
that is used to access the VMware ESXi server.
A The virtual machine must meet the following minimum requirements:
A 1 virtual x86 CPU
A 512 MiB RAM
A 512 MiB hard drive memory
A 1–5 virtual network interfaces based on VMXnet3
Installation on the VMware ESXi Server
The following steps describe how to put the LANCOM vRouter into
operation. Starting with logging in and executing the Installation Wizard.
