If your surround amplifier offers the option of regulating the volume of the subwoofer
using bass management, proceed as follows: Set the VOLUME control on the sub-
woofer to the centre position and the FREQUENCY control to the max position. Now,
run a level test on the surround amplifier and the same for the satellites and the
subwoofer at an identical volume.
For information on level adjustment, refer to the manual of your surround amplifier.
Leave the bass of the tone control of the amplifier at "neutral" as much as possible,
as otherwise unnecessarily strong bass signals are sent to the satellite speaker,
which cannot reproduce the low-frequency sound. Set the desired bass volume
using the volume of the subwoofer via the bass management system of the ampli-
fier.
