The bass output of a subwoofer depends crucially on its position in the room: If it
is placed close to walls or even in a corner, the bass will seem much louder, but
also less precise than if placed away from walls in the room. The optimum com-
promise between bass volume and precision can be found only by trial and error,
because in this regard, each space behaves differently. It does not matter whether
the subwoofer is placed closer to the left or right satellite, as the deepest tones
are not localised.
Units with power switch and standby function:
When the power switch is found to be in the OFF position, the unit is completely
turned off.
When the power switch is found to be in the ON position, the switch for standby
functions works as follows:
ON:
The unit is permanently switched on.
AUTO: The unit automatically turns on with music signal and turns automatically to
Standby mode after 15 minutes of absence of music signal.
OFF: The subwoofer is turned off.
