When using this connection option, the crossover is bypassed to the subwoofer
amplifier. Bass management must be undertaken by the home-theatre source play-
ing the music.
4. USB port
The on some models existing USB port is used exclusively for power supply of exter-
nal devices (eg. for the wireless transmission of audio signals to the subwoofer).

Setup

After correctly cabling the system please switch on your amplifier first and then
your subwoofer using the power switch on the rear panel. The indicator must light
up. The subwoofer is in working condition if it lights up. After switching on the unit,
the subwoofer must be adjusted. This is only necessary to do once if correctly
balanced, unless you are buying new main speakers. In this case, the subwoofer
must be matched to the new speakers once again.
Set the product into operation with a music signal. Initially set the FREQUENCY to
the centre position. Now turn the VOLUME control slowly to the right until reaching
a tonal balance in the bass range between the subwoofer and your satellites. Using
the FREQUENCY control, you can vary the pick-up area.
As a rule of thumb:
For large speakers, turn the control further left
and for small speakers, turn the control further right.
If necessary, the VOLUME control must be readjusted after adjusting the FRE-
QUENCY control to achieve a tonal balance. Interference could be caused by the
