5 Close the shut-off valve on the water inlet. Disconnect
the feed water hose from the water inlet, see fig. J
6 Put the end of the feed water hose into the mixture,
making sure that the end of the hose remains below the
surface at all times until the bucket has been emptied,
see fig. J.
7 Disconnect the purified water hoses from another
appliance or ancillary item of equipment, see fig. J.
8 Plug the appliance back in again. The RO 400 will now
draw up the mixture. After 30 seconds unplug the
appliance before purified water production starts.
9 Repeat step 8. Unplug the appliance when all the liquid
has been drawn up.
10 Disconnect the purified water hose from the RO 400.
The RO 400 is now disinfected. This also provides
protection against freezing at temperatures as low as -30°C.
It can be left in this state for up to nine months. Leave the
purified water hoses disconnected from the water purifier.
Do not reconnect the water or electricity until the RO 400
is to be used again.
The following must be observed when the
RO 400 is to be used again:
• It must be kept at a temperature of more than
5°C for a minimum of 48 hours.
• The preservative agent must be flushed out as in
"The flushing procedure".
• New and
"Replacing the filters".
