USING THE RO 400

Purified water production

The RO 400 starts producing purified water when a tap,
valve or a pressure tank releases the pressure in the purified
water hose (i.e. when the tap or valve is opened or when
the pressure in the tank falls) which is linked to the solenoid
valve pointing at the middle of the back of the RO 400.
Only use water from the RO 400 when it shows
purification level II or III. If the RO 400 has not been used
for a while, it can take up to 60 seconds before the correct
water quality is reached.
Adjusting the solenoid valve
The solenoid valve directs the initial volume of water from
each operational cycle, which is not of approved quality.
When the RO 400 is supplied the timer is set to 30 seconds,
which in practise might be too short or too long. Check
that the time has been adjusted correctly by measuring the
time in an operational cycle (once the RO 400 has stood
still for at least 6 hours) from the start until "purification
level II" is indicated on the panel. Adjust the timer as
required by means of the following instructions for use.
The timer is wired in parallel with the water supply valve
and it is activated when the water supply valve is operated
and opened. The timer can be set at four different functions
which are selected by setting rocker switches 4 and 5 to the
right setting. When using the RO 400 switch 4 is up and
switch 5 is down, which means that when the timer is
activated, the solenoid valve switches over straight away and
directs the purified water to the reject water outlet (when it
is at rest the valve switches to another appliance or ancillary
item of equipment).
Adjusting this function only selects the time that the
purified water is directed to the reject water outlet.
There are 8 time periods used for adjusting the time, which
are selected using switches 1, 2 and 3. For applications
using the RO 400 the time period of 1.5 - 30 seconds is
selected, i.e. switches 1 and 2 are down and switch 3 is up.
The factory setting is 30 seconds, which is set by turning
the screw on the left clockwise as far as it will go.
