❐ Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong temperature fl uctuations,
direct sunlight or moisture.

Proper Use

❐ Always check the device for damage before putting it into operation. If the device, the
cable or the plug shows visible signs of damage, the device must not be used. Do not use
the device if it has malfunctioned or been dropped in water.
❐ If the device is broken, do not attempt to repair it or replace any individual parts yourself.
In the event of any damage, please contact a specialist or our customer service depart-
ment.
❐ Do not leave the device switched on when it is unattended.
❐ Use only original parts from the manufacturer.
❐ Switch the device off and pull the mains plug out of the mains socket
– when the device is not in use,
– if a fault occurs while the device is in operation,
– before a thunderstorm,
– before you clean it.
❐ When you want to remove the mains plug from the socket, always pull the plug and not
the cable.
❐ Never immerse the device in water or other liquids! Ensure that the device, cable and
plug do not fall into water or become wet. Should the device fall into water, switch off the
power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is
still connected to the mains power!
❐ Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Do not drop the device or allow it to be knocked violently.
❐ The device may not be moved during operation.
❐ Only use heat-resistant utensils to place and remove the food. Keep metal objects or
other sharp objects away from the device. These objects could damage the non-stick coat-
ing of the grill surfaces.
❐ Do not place any combustible materials such as e. g. cardboard, plastic, paper or candles
on or in the device.
❐ Do not use any aluminium foil. This might result in the device overheating! Also do not
place any aluminium foil or other materials into the fat collecting tray.
❐ Never spray cold water onto the grill surfaces while or immediately after using the device.
This could damage the non-stick coating!
❐ Always allow the device to cool down completely before you clean it or store it away.

Warranty Terms

The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused by improper handling, dam-
age or unauthorised attempts to repair. The same applies for normal wear.
