the hydrosoniC story
in the beginning there was, as is so often, a coincidence: at
Zurich main station, among all the people hustling along to
catch their train during rush hour, i met Professor ueli saxer.
he had time to sit down for a coffee and so we talked at a table
in the «au premier» about the proper way to clean teeth. i was
curious because ueli saxer had been intensely engaged with
the topic of sonic toothbrushes.
of course i had an ulterior motive. is it possible, i asked ueli
saxer, to make a sonic toothbrush better than all the other
ones? yes, said ueli saxer, by using the right brush head.
so here it is; our jointly developed brush head. good luck with
your start into a new age of oral hygiene!

Why hydrosoniC?
some theory – if you LiKe
Provided that a sonic toothbrush vibrates at
least 30,000 oscillations per minute, it cleans
not only more effectively, but also gentler
than a manual tooth brush – if properly han-
dled, it is impossible to injure your gums or
teeth. at the same time, it cleans incredibly
well – not only the teeth and gum line, but to
a degree, it also cleans the spaces between the teeth and removes millions of
biofilm bacteria from periodontal pockets.
the hydrodynamiC effeCt
thanks to sonic technology, not only the bristles of the brush are cleaning,
but also the active mix of saliva, water and toothpaste formed in your mouth
during the cleaning process. sonic technology causes the bristles to move
back and forth incredibly fast. in addition to an excellent cleaning perfor-
mance, this creates turbulences in the mix of saliva, water and toothpaste.
these turbulences make sure that biofilm bacteria are also removed from the
areas adjacent to the bristles – where the bristles don't even reach. in sci-
ence, this effect is called the hydrodynamic effect of the sonic toothbrush.
