4. Operating Instruction
-
If the current under measurement is higher than the selected value for a long period, overheating may
take place, compromising the safety and operation of inner circuits.
-
Do not measure currents on high-voltage conductors (>600 V) to avoid risks of discharge and/or
incorrect reading.
AC current measurement
Make certain that all test leads are disconnected from the meter terminals.

Set function switch to A~ range.
-
Clamp the current transducer (jaw) around one of the conductors under test. Make sure that the clamp
jaw be perfectly closed.

Read the display value.
-
For manual Range adjustment, press the range-key: RAN
-
To turn back to Autorange press and hold the RAN key.
-
At zero compensation the display might show 30 Digits.
It will not affect the measured value
INRUSH AC current measurement

Set function switch to A~ range.
-
Press the SEL key to enter Inrush current measurement.
-
The display reading is empty: ----
-
Clamp the current transducer (jaw) around one of the conductors under test. Make sure that the clamp
jaw be perfectly closed.

Turn on the item under test.
-
Read the Inrush current value in the display.
-
To make new measurement press and hold the SEL-key to return first to normal measurement and then
press SEL kea again to enter INRUSH current measurement.

For manual Range adjustment, press the range-key: RAN
-
To turn back to Autorange press and hold the RAN key.
DC current measurement
Make certain that all test leads are disconnected from the meter terminals.

Set function switch to A= range.
-
Open and close jaw for several times and wait till the display shows a constant reading
0.1 MΩ
Overload protection: 250 V DC or AC RMS
Built-in buzzer will sound, if resistance is lower than 30 Ω
