1. Before you use this product
• Please make sure you read the instruction
manual carefully.
• This product should only be used as described with-
in these instructions.
• Following and respecting the instructions in your
manual will prevent damage to your instrument and
loss of your statutory rights arising from defects
due to incorrect use.
• We shall not be liable for any damage occurring as
a result of non-following of these instructions.
• Please pay particular attention to the safety
notices!
• Please keep this instruction manual safe for future
reference.
2. For your safety
Caution!
Risk of electrocution!
• Connect the device via the USB cable only to a suit-
able USB power source such as a computer, USB
power adapter (DC 5V, min. 500 mA).
• The device and the USB cable must not come into
contact with water or moisture.
• Do not charge the device if the housing or the USB
cable are damaged.
• Charge the device out of reach of persons (including
children) who cannot fully appreciate the potential
risks of handling electrical equipment.
• Disconnect the device from the charging power
source immediately if any fault occurs.
WARNING!
Risk of injury:
• Keep this device out of reach of children.
• Small parts can be swallowed by children (under
three years old).
• Batteries containing lithium carry a risk of fire or
explosion due to heat or mechanical damage!
• Protect it from high temperatures.
• Do not throw into fire, short-circuit or take apart.
• If the device becomes hot while charging or the bat-
tery is no longer charged, this is a sign of a defect.
Disconnect the device from the charging power
source immediately.
• The battery cannot and must not be replaced or
removed by you. There is a risk of explosion if the
battery is replaced incorrectly. If necessary, a quali-
fied person can obtain instructions on how to dis-
mantle the permanently installed battery from
info@tfa-dostmann.de, should this be necessary for
the purpose of repairing or recycling the product.
CAUTION!
Important information
on product safety!
• Unauthorised repairs, alterations or changes to the
product are prohibited.
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures,
vibrations or shocks.
• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use
solvents or scouring agents.
• Protect it from moisture!
3. Charging
• Before the first use, please charge it fully.
• Connect the device with the USB cable (included) to
a suitable USB power source, such as a computer,
or use a suitable power adapter (not included).
• The red LED light indicates that the built-in
rechargeable battery is charging.
• To fully charge, leave the device connected for
approximately 2 hours with a charging capacity of
1A.
• When the battery is fully charged, the LED light
turns green.

• Disconnect the device from the charging power
source.
• If the battery has discharged to 10% or less, the dis-
play flashes.
• Please charge the device immediately to preserve
battery life.
• Recharge the battery every six months, even if the
device is not in use.
• Please switch off the device (OFF/1/2 switch to the
position OFF) if not using it for a long time.
4. Getting started
• Remove the protective film.
• Slide the OFF/1/2 switch to 1 or 2:
1: Preset countdown times
2: Manually adjustable countdown times / stop-
watch
• Slide the vibration/quiet/loud switch to the desired
position:
– Vibration, no alarm sound
– Alarm sound quiet
– Alarm sound loud
• The device is ready for use.
• Slide the OFF/1/2 switch to OFF to turn off the timer.
• Note: When the instrument is not used (approx.
5 minutes) the power saving mode is activated.
• To deactivate the power saving mode, move the
instrument slightly or press any button.
5. Functions

5.1 Countdown-Timer

5.1.1 Preset countdown times
(OFF/1/2 switch to 1)
• The cube timer has 4 preset countdown times. Place
the cube on a smooth and level surface with the
desired time facing up.
• An alarm tone or vibration is activated briefly. The
countdown process starts.
• You can stop and restart the counting or reset.
– Display upwards: Stop counting
– Last adjusted alarm time upwards:
Restart counting
– Display downwards: Reset display to 00:00
• When the timer counted down, an alarm tone or
vibration is activated briefly (max. 60 seconds) and
the display flashes.
• Place the timer with the display facing upwards to
stop the alarm. An alarm tone or vibration is activat-
ed briefly.
5.1.2 Manually adjustable countdown times
(OFF/1/2 switch to 2)
• Press the M button to adjust the minutes and the
S button to adjust the seconds (max. 99 min and
59 sec). Press and hold the M or S button for fast
mode.
• Press the ST/SP button.
• An alarm tone or vibration is activated briefly. The
countdown process starts.
• With the ST/SP button you can stop and restart the
counting.
• When the timer counted down, an alarm tone or
vibration is activated briefly (ca. 60 seconds) and
the display flashes
• Press the ST/SP button to turn off the alarm.
• The last adjusted time setting appears on the dis-
play.
• Press and hold the ST/SP button for two seconds to
reset the time to 00:00.
5.2 Stopwatch (OFF/1/2 switch set to 2)
• Press the ST/SP button.
• An alarm tone or vibration is activated briefly. The
counting process starts.
• With the ST/SP button you can stop and restart the
counting.
• Press and hold the ST/SP button for two seconds to
reset the time to 00:00.

No alarm sound
If your device fails to work despite these measures,
please contact the retailer where you purchased the
product from for advice.
7. Waste disposal
This product and its packaging have been manufactured
using high-grade materials and components which can
be recycled and reused. This reduces waste and pro-
tects the environment.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly
manner using the collection systems that have been set
up.
