HARDWARE INSTALLATION
Please read the following installation instructions.
1.
Install the EX-62020PoE-P on a mounting rail using the DIN-Rail kit.
2.
Connect your network devices to the switch using a network cable.
3.
Connect a PoE source to the uplink port of the switch. Alternatively, an optionally available

After switching on, the PWR indicator lights up. If the indicator does not light up, check that

POWER MANAGEMENT
If the EX-62020PoE-P is supplied via a PoE power source (in accordance with IEEE 802.3bt,
PoE++) such as a PoE injector or a PoE switch, the device can pass on the incoming PoE
power to connected, PoE-compatible end devices (PoE pass-through function).
The maximum available output power depends on the total power of the PoE power source
used and is up to 30 W per port (PoE+).
Alternatively, the switch can be operated via the terminal block with a DC voltage of 48 to
56VDC. In this operating mode, the EX-62020PoE-P functions as a standalone PoE+ switch.
NOTICE & CLEANING
Procedure for STP Cable Grounding
When using shielded cables to connect two Ethernet devices, a ground loop may occur if the
Link / Activity LED
shielding on the cables generates an additional grounding connection path. This can cause
ground current to flow through to the Ethernet ports and damage the devices. If it is necessary
to use shielded cables, we recommend using a metallic RJ45 connector on one end and a non-
metallic connector on the other end. Alternatively, a patch panel can be used in between the
two devices to prevent ground loops from occurring.
Switch off the power supply before disconnecting modules or wires.
The propper power supply voltage is indicated on the product label. Check the voltage of your
power source to ensure you are using the correct voltage. DO NOT use a voltage higher than
what is specified on the product.
To clean the device, please use only a dry, non-fibrous cloth and remove the dirt with light
pressure. In the area of the connections, please make sure that no fibers of the cloth are left in
the socket.
Attention! Never use a moist or wet cloth for cleaning!

Der EX-62020PoE-P ist ein kompakter, industrietauglicher 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch mit
Power over Ethernet (PoE++) Pass-Through-Unterstützung. Trotz seiner geringen Baugröße
bietet er an allen Ports volle Gigabit-Performance (10/100/1000 Mbps) und ist für den Einsatz in
anspruchsvollen Industrieumgebungen konzipiert. Die Stromversorgung kann wahlweise über
PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) oder über den integrierten Terminal Block (48-56 VDC) erfolgen. Eine
redundante Spannungszuführung ist möglich, um die Betriebssicherheit in kritischen
Anwendungen zu erhöhen. Die vier Downlink-Ports stellen jeweils bis zu 30 W Leistung für PoE
-fähige Endgeräte (Powered Devices, PD) wie IP-Kameras, IP-Telefone oder Access Points
bereit.
