Congratulations on your purchase of the InControl
Mk2 pre-amplifier.
InControl MkII2 is a state-of-the-art pre-amplifier,
the result of years of research and study by Pathos
laboratories; the latest technologies combined with
unparalleled sound performance guarantee great
flexibility and ease of use.
Can a pair of highly innovative monobloc amplifiers
be driven by a business-as-usual preamplifier?
Absolutely not. The InControl project started with this
very aim: to provide the InPower MkII monoblocks
with a control unit that would allow them to express
their impressive potential. A goal not easy to achieve,
so much so that the development of this pre took a lot
of work.
InControl MkII was developed according to Pathos
design guidelines: it operates in pure Class A, no
feedback, stabilized and filtered power supplies, well
sized power supplies and selected components of the
highest quality.
Two in one
Unlike the previous version of InControl, with two
chassis, the new InControl Mk2 has the power supply
and preamplification stage combined in a single
chassis.
The two stages are contained in a single chassis, but
physically they are separated by a wall that shields
the power supply, reduces magnetic field noise, with a
fully encapsulated transformer.
InControl MkII has been aesthetically designed to be
in line with the new InPower MkII.
The VDF display is larger, more readable, with the
ability to adjust the brightness according to your
preferences.
