3.7 Vacuum tubes
Your INCONTROL MK2 is provided with a pair of
Tung-Sol ECC803S.
In case you need to replace vacuum tubes, always use
the same type.
PATHOS chooses the type of tubes and their supplier
according to the quality of sound and manufacture
kind, which can ensure thestability of performance
over time.
On the market you may find many others brands
replacing pretty well the supplied tubes; NOS, those
for military use, "gold pins" etc. may improve the sonic
quality of the amplifier, as long as they are equivalent
to those already installed in the amplifier.
NOTE: It is not recommended to leave your
INCONTROL MK2 switched on 24 hours a day.
This habit of some audiophiles does not bring benefits
to INCONTROL MK2 musical performances and will
shorten tubes' life.
3.8 Warm-up
For superior sonic performances, a warm-up period of
approximately 20 minutes is recommended to better
listening to your favorite music.
3.9 Important advice about the power grid
We warmly recommend not connecting your
INCONTROL MK2 on the same socket as other electric
appliances, such as neon lamps, air conditioners,
electric engines, electric stoves or refrigerators,
because this may jam the power grid.
