Before Initial Use

CAUTION!
■ Warning of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the packaging ma-
terial.
1. Take the device out of the packaging and remove any fi lms and stickers that may be
present. Check the device for any transport damage. If you fi nd any damage to it, do
not use it (!), but contact our customer service department.
2. You might notice some smoke and a strange smell the fi rst time you use the device.
We therefore recommend that you initially heat up the device for a few minutes
WITHOUT any contents in order to burn off any production residues that may remain
(see "Use"). During this time, make sure the room is well ventilated, e.g. with wide-
open windows!
3. Once the grill plate (10) has cooled down, clean it with a wet cloth and a little mild
detergent. Make sure that no water gets into the thermostat socket (3)! Then dry it
thoroughly.
