3.2 Mounting the Cutter

• Slide the (left oriented) cutter (2) onto the spindle (3). The flat part of the cutter should face down. Slide the guide
bearing onto the spindle to cap off the cutter.

• Use a 6mm ring spanner to torque down the spindle to 3NM max.

3.3 Use of the RABIS-M

• Ensure the top edge where the flange plate rests is free of burrs and other imperfections.
• Disconnect the compressed-air hose from the machine.
• Set the cutter/spindle assembly to its outermost position.
• Viewed from the side of the flange plate/workpiece, rotate the depth adjustment assembly forward until the cutter
shoulder aligns with the bottom edge to be beveled or radiused.
• Reconnect the compressed-air hose to the machine.
• With the cutter/spindle assembly clear of the edge, position the tool with the flange plate flat on the workpiece.
Keep the cutter at a safe distance from the edge.
• Switch on the tool.
• Keeping the flange plate flat at all times, feed the cutter in until the guide bearing contacts the edge.
• Move forward from left to right to complete the bevel and/or radius. Keep the flange plate flat against the workpiece
throughout.
• With the motor still running, move back to a position where the cutter/spindle assembly is clear of all obstacles.
• Switch off the motor.
• Pull the assembly straight out without contacting the edges.
