CAREFULLY BEFORE WEARING
WARRANTY
Congratulations on having purchased a BAUER visor. BAUER visors are guaranteed to be free from defects
in manufacturing and materials for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase (proof of purchase
required) when used as intended and without alterations. Visors having their certi cation stickers
removed are not guaranteed.
INSPECTION
If the visor becomes dented, cracked or damaged in any way, replace it immediately. The visor must be
replaced if it has been exposed to a violent impact or another stress that might have reduced its
protective function. Damaged fasteners or hardware should be replaced with BAUER replacement parts.
Due to the nature of the game of ice hockey and the exposure of your BAUER visor to cold, heat, impact
and wear, we recommend that you replace your visor after ve continuous seasons of use.
ADJUSTMENT
For maximum protection, this visor shall be properly attached to a compatible certi ed helmet using
Bauer supplied hardware and remain securely in position with strap fastened when tted in accordance
with its instructions for use. Consumers should use care to select a helmet and visor combination that ts
properly, is readily secured, comfortable and lightweight. Refer to the diagrams in this booklet for
adjustment guidelines. Do not use this visor if you are unable to adjust it for a proper t. Replace it with a
di erent size or model of visor.
MAINTENANCE
Do not use paint, adhesives, cleaners, anti-fog or any other chemical unless approved and sold by Bauer
speci cally for this visor. Only use BAUER replacement parts with this visor. Use only a damp cloth and
mild soap, such as dishwashing liquid, for cleaning. Wipe with a clean and dry cloth. Dry after each use.
Do not expose to direct sunlight.
WARNING
Ice hockey and other contact sports can result in serious and even fatal injuries. Participation in these
contact sports implies acceptance of some risk of injury. Always wear appropriate protective equipment
when playing these sports. Protective equipment will not eliminate all injuries but may reduce their
severity and frequency. This product is designed to minimize the e ect of super cial injuries. This visor
a ords no protection from neck, brain or spinal injuries. This CSA Z262.2 Type C / ASTM F513 Type C visor
provides only partial protection for the eyes and no protection for the mouth, teeth, lower face and jaw.
To reduce the risk of injury, a CSA Z262.2 Type B / ASTM F513 type B protector, which provides full-face
protection, is recommended. Failure to follow this recommendation may result in serious or permanent
injury. This equipment is intended to protect against the risks of injury to the eyes. The player using the
visor may be harmed by an impact/contact from a puck, a hockey stick, another player or the net. Any
alteration, contact with contaminants or improper use may reduce the performance of the protector and
must be avoided. BAUER Hockey makes or implies no claim or representation for its protective ability.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
BAUER visors meet CSA, ASTM and CE certi cation standards provided they have not been reconditioned
or altered in any way.
