Operating Instructions R8/17RF - R40/17RF and R8/17RF+ - R20/17RF+
Thank you for purchasing a BECKER roller shutter drive with integrated radio frequency receiver.
The R8/17RF - R40/17RF and R8/17RF+ - R20/17RF+ roller shutter drives are high quality products with a wide range of
performance features:
• Single, multi-point, group and central control by radio frequency
• No expenditure for wiring to a relay or switch
• Drive and transmitter may be randomly combined
• "TouchControl" transmitter with elegant wall holder in switch design
• "Complex code" radio frequency system with code length variable up to 40 bit, enabling more than 1 billion
different codes
• Antenna in connection cable prevents incorrect installation
• Flexible group formation by radio frequency, can be altered at any time without re-installation
• 2 commands per transmitter: individual and group or central command at each transmitter
• Transmitter can simply be copied for selective switching or as a backup copy
• Time switch function with "Synchronised sequence" and "Power failure correction".
• "Synchronised sequence" provides the visual effect of an occupied house
• Automatic detection of end positions through intelligent electronics
• Automatic detection of lifting safety catches (axle shaft safety catches)
• Secure engagement of the lifting catch
• Light pressure on the roller shutter armour prevents lifting and reaching beneath
• Suitable for rigid aluminium, steel and wood profiles
• No adjustment of the end positions: changes in the armour length are automatically compensated for
• Detection of obstacles with safety cut-off in accordance with European machine guidelines (restarting
protection)
• Safety cut-off in the case of frozen or blocked roller shutter armour prevents damage to the roller shutter
• Optimum adaptation of the closing torque to the system:
• Clearly reduced armour and limit switch loading even in the case of insulating plaster
• Gentle operation of system and drive increases service life
When installing and setting the equipment please observe these Operating Instructions for drives R8/17RF to R40/17RF (for use
with springs) and for drives R8/17RF+ to R20/17RF+ (for use with locking straps).
BECKER-Antriebe GmbH will be released from all warranty and product liability obligations if the customer modifies the equip-
ment without prior approval from BECKER-Antriebe GmbH or if the equipment is installed incorrectly and/or contrary to the
specified installation instructions, by the customer or a third party.
Any further processing must comply with all current statutory and official regulations governing manufacture and advice to
customers, especially the EMC regulations.
This product is subject to technical developments and improvements. Please refer to the current sales brochure for the precise
product specifications.
Despite extensive tests, BECKER-Antriebe GmbH cannot guarantee function of the drives in combination with controls of other
manufacturers. Please consult BECKER-Antriebe GmbH before installation; we will be pleased to assist you.
