Operating instructions
Thank you for choosing a Hama product.
Take your time and read the following instructions and
information completely. Keep these operating instructions
in a safe place for future reference.
1. Operating Instructions
The Hama FlashPen „Probo" USB 3.0 must never be
separated from the computer or from the notebook as
long as there is a data transfer. A loss of data could not
be excluded. Please follow the pieces of advice given in
this quick reference guide.
Under no circumstances, Hama GmbH & Co KG is
responsible for the loss of data which have been stored
on storage media.
Supported operating systems:
Windows XP/Vista/7/8
Mac OS 9.X or higher
Driver Information:
No additional driver files are required.
Connect your Hama FlashPen "Probo" USB 3.0 to a
free USB 3.0 connection. The installation is carried out
automatically.
Note:
The Hama FlashPen "Probo" USB 3.0 is backwards
compatible with USB 2.0. In order to achieve the full
transfer rate, USB 3.0 hardware and driver must be
installed correctly on your computer.
Removing the FlashPen safely:
Windows:
In order to remove the FlashPen, click with the right mouse
button the small green arrow symbol in the systray (on the
bottom right next to the Windows clock) and afterwards
=> Remove or eject hardware or Remove hardware
safely. Now click => Deactivate or Exit => OK. A message
appears now starting that you can remove the hardware
safely => OK or Exit. Afterwards, you can remove the
Hama FlashPen.
MacOS:
While using a Mac you have three different possibilities to
remove the FlashPen safely.
Possibility 1:
+ Drag the FlashPen icon with pressed mouse button on
the Trash in the dock bar below.
Possibility 2:
« Click with the right mouse button on the FlashPen icon
and choose the option eject in the context menu.
Possibility 3:
« Mark the FlashPen icon and press the keystroke
combination Cmd + E.
