    BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Open the battery compartment (9) by unscrewing the tightening bolt (counter-clockwise). Remove the battery cap. 2. Install two CR123 lithium batteries, inserted with polarity in the direction shown on the internal wall of the battery compartment. 3. Replace the battery compartment cap and secure it by tightening the screw bolt, turning clockwise until tight.

    USING THE IR ILLUmINATOR When using the unit under conditions of total darkness, turn on the IR illuminator (10) by pressing the IR button (2). When the IR illuminator is on, the red LED indicator (L2) will turn on. NOTE: The IR light source is invisible to the unaided eye, but can be seen by other people equipped with night vision devices (be aware of this if using the unit for surveillance or law enforcement applications).

    BATTERIEN EINLEGEN 1. Das Batteriefach durch (9) Lockern der Schrauben im Uhrzeigersinn öffnen. Die Batterieabdeckung entfernen. 2. Zwei CR123-Lithium-Batterien einlegen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Pole der Batterien wie in dem Batteriefach angezeigt eingelegt werden. 3. Batterieabdeckung wieder anbringen und durch Drehen der Schraube im Uhrzeigersinn sicher befestigen. Hinweis: Alte und neue Batterien nicht zusammen in das Gerät einlegen.

    VERWENDUNG DES IR-ILLUmINATORS Wird das Gerät bei völliger Dunkelheit eingesetzt, durch Drücken der IR-Taste (10) den IR-Illuminator einschalten (2). Hinweis: Für das bloße Auge ist die IR-Lichtquelle unsichtbar, wird aber von anderen, ebenfalls mit einem Nachtsichtgerät ausgestatteten Personen erkannt (darauf ist besonders dann zu achten, wenn das Gerät zur Überwachung oder Strafverfolgung eingesetzt wird).
