Limitations of Product Use
CHASING DISTANCE LOCK SONAR utilizes the acoustic wave emission, therefore, the

following limitations may apply when used outside calibration conditions:
1.The presence of air bubbles in the water causes scattering of acoustic wave reflections.
This phenomenon may lead to distorted measurements in extreme cases.
2.A change in medium density, speed, or chemical composition (water currents, change
in salinity, temperature differential) affects the speed of sound in the medium, this may
lead to mismeasurement.
3.Muddy underwater environments will absorb acoustic waves and will reduce the distance
measurement range.
4.The presence of floating particles in the water will lead to sensor mismeasurement.
5.In addition to half-power beamwidth, the sensor can also emit side lobe acoustic waves
to measure a greater range when at proximity.
6.Acoustic waves are produced via an oscillating medium, therefore, vibrations in the
linkage between the sensor and the device should be kept to a minimum.
7.Acoustic wave transmission will be affected if there is a fast-flowing vortex or current
between the sensor and the target object, hence causing mismeasurement.
8.Other conditions that may affect acoustic wave transmission and speed.
Notes
1. Please ensure that you install and connect the Distance Lock Sonar after the ROV is
powered off.
2. Inspect the unit and ensure the ports are dry and clean before use. Salt and moisture
may cause corrosion of the connector interface. If the interface happens to be wet,
please ensure the use of fresh water to rinse the socket, and use paper towels or cotton
balls to absorb any moisture in the socket.
3. The installation orientation and position of the Distance Lock Sonar must be as officially
designated in the user manual.

潜行定距声纳

潜行定距声纳是为潜鲛P100、潜鲛P200潜航器定制开发的专属配件,它是利用超
声波测距原理展开的一种多波束超声测距的传感器。超声波测距具有极好的接收灵
敏度、迅速、方便、测量精度高,可对潜航器前、左、右、下4个方向进行测距,
从而实现水下防撞与水下定距的功能。

安装与连接
*注意:为保证定距声纳对距离测算的精准度,请务必根据用户手册进行组装。
潜鲛P100组装方式
将定距声纳安装在潜航器支撑杆上,用4颗M3*8螺丝进行固定,将定距声纳数据线
插入4芯接口并拧紧,完成产品组装,具体安装根据下图所示。
安装位置:安装在潜航器电池舱底部支撑杆上,靠近电池舱衔接口前两排安装孔处。
安装方向:定距声纳主体安装朝向潜航器前方,即摄像头方向。
