The CHASING Distance Lock Sonar is an exclusive accessory developed for the CHASING M2
and CHASING M2 PRO ROV. This is a multi-beam ultrasonic ranging sensor based on the
principle of ultrasonic ranging. Ultrasonic ranging offers excellent reception sensitivity,
speed, convenience, and accuracy. It can perform ranging in four directions, to the front, left,
right, and bottom of the ROV, which allows it to perform underwater collision avoidance and
underwater distance measurement.

Installation and connection

*Note: To ensure the distance measurement accuracy for the Distance Lock Sonar, please
assemble it according to the instructions in the User Manual.
CHASING M2 Assembly Instructions
Install the fixed-distance sonar on the ROV's support rod and affix it with 4 M3×8 screws.
Insert the fixed-distance sonar data cable into the 4-pin port and tighten it to complete
product assembly. The specific installation method is shown in the figure below.
Installation location: Install on the support rod at the bottom of the ROV battery
compartment, near the two rows of installation holes in front of the battery compartment
connector. Installation orientation: The main body of the Distance Lock Sonar is installed
facing toward the front of the submarine, in the direction of the camera.

CHASING M2 PRO Assembly Instructions
1) The assembly method is identical to that of the CHASING M2. Install in the correct position
and orientation according to the figure below.
2) If the grabber claw and Distance Lock Sonar are used at the same time, the mounting bracket
must be replaced with the longer, swappable mounting bracket for assembly and use.
