1 Intended use
The product is designed to provide illumination under or in furniture such as tables, cabinets
or shelves.
The product has two earthed mains sockets for connecting devices operated with a 230 V/AC
voltage in accordance with the power specifications (see "Technical Data" section).
It also features 2 USB Type-A ports for powering or charging USB device batteries with a 5 V/
DC voltage. The USB ports are only designed to supply power and cannot be used for data
transfer.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture
(e.g. in a bathroom) must be avoided under all circumstances.
Installation and assembly work may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
For safety and approval purposes, do not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuit, fire or electric shock. Read the operating
instructions carefully and store them in a safe place. Only make this product available to third
parties together with its operating instructions.

6 Safety information
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or
damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
6.1 General information
This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. It may become a dangerous
plaything for children.
If you have questions that remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
Maintenance, modifications and repairs must be carried out by a technician or a specialist
repair centre.
6.2 Handling
Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height may damage
the product.

Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
The product must only be installed and operated for use in dry rooms!
Only use the product in temperate climates. It is not suitable for use in tropical climates.
Never use the product immediately after it has been taken from a cold room into a warm
one. This may cause condensation to form, which can destroy the product. Allow the
product to reach room temperature before connecting it and putting it into use. This may
take several hours.
6.4 Connected devices
Always observe the safety information and operating instructions of any other devices
which are connected to the product.
6.5 LED light
Attention, LED light:
– Do not look directly into the LED light.
– Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
6.6 Operation
Do not operate while covered!
Before installation, conduct a visual check to ensure that the product is not damaged. If the
product is damaged, do not use it.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent unauthorised
use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.

Type of power supply (TN system, IT system, TT system) and the corresponding connection
criteria (classic earthing, protective earthing, necessary additional measures etc.)
If you do not have sufficient knowledge in all of the aforementioned topics, contact a specialist
and do not attempt to install or connect the product yourself.
Before connecting the product to the mains, check that your local AC mains voltage
matches the specifications on the type plate.
Never pour liquids over electrical devices or place objects filled with liquid next to the
device. If liquid or an object does get inside the device, power down the respective socket
(e.g. switch off the circuit breaker), and then remove the mains plug from the mains socket.
Discontinue use and take the product to a specialist repair centre.
If you do not plan to use the product for an extended period, unplug all mains plugs from
the mains sockets on the product.
For safety reasons, always unplug the mains plugs from the sockets during a thunderstorm.
Make sure the connecting cable is not squashed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or
otherwise subjected to mechanical strain. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the power
cable from extreme heat or cold. Never attempt to modify the cable. Failure to adhere to
these instructions may damage the cable. A damaged cable can result in a life-threatening
electric shock.
Never insert or unplug mains plugs when your hands are wet.
Each socket on the power strip is equipped with enhanced contact protection. The protective
mechanism will only release the openings on a socket when the prongs of a power plug are
placed in both openings at the same time. Nevertheless, take special caution when children
are around. Children do not understand the hazards associated with the incorrect use of
electrical devices. There is a risk of fatal electric shock!
