Cassette Operation

Playing Cassettes
1.
Turn the function selector switch (16) to the TAPE position.
2.
Press the
STOP/EJ. stop/eject button (13) to open the
cassette compartment (29).
3.
Insert a recorded audiocassette into the compartment
with the tape opening facing upwards and the side you
wish to listen to facing the front (full spool to the right).
Then close the cassette compartment again.
4.
Press the PLAY playback key (10) to listen to the tape.
5.
With the
STOP/EJ. stop/eject key you can stop play-
back.
6.
Wind the tape forwards or backwards if necessary in
the direction of the arrow keys
F.FWD = forwards (12),
7.
Always press the
STOP/EJ. stop/eject key when
changing the direction or stopping the tape. This prevents
damage to the machine and the tape.
8.
If the
STOP/EJ. stop/eject button is pressed again the
flap of the cassette compartment opens.
9.
In order to interrupt playback briefly, press the II PAUSE
pause button (14). Pressing again continues playback.
Recording Cassettes
1.
Insert an audiocassette with the side on which you wish
to record facing forwards (full reel on the right). Ensure
that the cassette is not copy-protected (the copy
protection tab on the top narrow side of the cassette must
not have been removed).
2.
Select the source from which you wish to record with the
function switch (16) and then start playback from this source
if necessary. The sound source which you are listening to
is the one from which the recording is made. The recording
level is controlled automatically. Changing the volume does
not change the recording.
3.
Please press the REC record button (9) (the PLAY
playback button is automatically pressed down at the same
time). Recording now begins. All previous recordings are
automatically erased.
4.
The recording can be interrupted briefly using the II
PAUSE pause key, or stopped by means of the
STOP/EJ. stop/eject button.
Playing CD's
1.
Push the function selection switch (16) to CD.
2.
Open the CD compartment (4) by pulling the lid
upwards by the tab (8).
3.
Insert an audio CD with the printed side facing upwards on
to the central cone so that the CD clicks into place and then
close the lid of the CD compartment.
RWD = reverse (11).
„- -" appears in the display followed by the number of tracks.
4.
Press the II PLAY/PAUSE button (27) in order to play the
CD. The CD will play from the first title.
5.
By lightly pressing either the
tons (19/18) you can jump one track forwards or backwards.
If the button is held down while you are listening to a track
you can search for a particular piece of music

In order to remove a CD, press the STOP (stop) button
(26), open the CD compartment and lift the CD out carefully.
Always keep the CD deck closed.
NOTE:
Is a disc has been incorrectly inserted „- -" flashes and
„no" appears in the display.
If no disc has been inserted „- -" flashes and „Er" (error)
appears in the display.
Playback of CDs produced by the user cannot be
guaran- teed due to the large variety of software and CD
media available.
Description of the CD buttons
II PLAY/PAUSE (27) (play/pause)
With the CD running:
You can briefly interrupt playback; the current track number
flashes. Press the II PLAY/PAUSE button again to continue
playback.
I
BACK (18) (reverse search)
With the CD running:
Press once =
This starts the current track again from the
beginning.
Press twice =
This jumps back to the previous track.
Press three times = This plays the song before etc. If the button
is kept pressed down, the machine starts to
search through the tracks.
I NEXT (19) (forward search)
With the CD running:
With this button you can jump to the following track or the
next track but one etc. If the button is kept pressed down, the
machine starts to search through the tracks.
I NEXT/I
BACK but-
I NEXT = forwards).
