PROHIBITION ON USE
It is hereby declared that the OJ Air2EC
Controller must not be taken into use until the
machine or product into which it is incorporated
has in its entirety been declared to be in con-
formity with all relevant national and interna-
tional regulations.
The product must not be energised until the
entire installation complies with ALL relevant EU
directives.
The product carries a manufacturer's warranty
if installed in accordance with these instruc-
tions and applicable installation regulations.
If the product has been damaged in any way,
e.g. during transport, it must be inspected and
repaired by authorised personnel before being
connected to the power supply.
OPERATION
The EC Controller is controlled via Modbus or a
hand terminal:
Control via hand terminal
A hand terminal (OJ EC HTERM) can be con-
nected to the RJ12 socket marked "A". Before
connecting the OJ EC HTERM, the Modbus ca-
ble from OJ Fan IO must first be removed from
socket "B" of the OJ Air2 EC Controller. OJ EC
HTERM cannot be used to display parameters
and online values if a Modbus cable is also con-
nected to an OJ Air2 Fan IO or OJ Air2 Master.
(See also instructions for OJ EC HTERM.)
Control via Modbus
If the OJ Air2EC Controller is to be controlled
via Modbus from an OJ Air2 Fan IO, the
Modbus cable must be connected to the RJ12
Modbus socket marked "B" as the EC Control-
ler is addressed by OJ Air2 Fan IO via the "B"
connection.
The OJ Air2EC Controller has the following
address range: 0x36 (54), 0x37 (55), 0x38 (56)
and 0x39 (57). Its communication protocol is:
38.4 kBd, 1 start bit, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit and
no parity.
The EC Controller can also be controlled via
Modbus from a supplier other than OJ Electron-
ics. If this is the case, the EC Controller must be
addressed as shown in the table below (fig. 12).
