    4. Inbetriebnahme Für den Betrieb dieses Funkgeräts wird eine für den CB-Funk ge- eignete Antenne benötigt. Installieren Sie die Antenne entsprechend deren Anleitung am gewünschten Verwendungsort. Beachten Sie, dass einige Arten von Funkantennen einige Arten von Funkantennen spezielle Anforderungen an ihre Umgebung und Montage haben.

    5. Bedienung 5.1. Grundlagen Das Gerät schaltet sich automatisch ein, wenn es mit Spannung ver- sorgt wird. 5.1.1. Standby Halten Sie die Power-Taste gedrückt, um das Gerät in den Standby- Modus zu versetzen. Je nach Einstellung (siehe 7.5.4 auf Seite 17) wird entweder die aktuelle Uhrzeit angezeigt, oder das Display er- scheint schwarz.

    5.2. Schnellwahltasten am Gerät Mit den Schnellwahltasten am Gerät können Sie die wichtigsten Funktionen schnell aufrufen. Drücken Sie die entsprechende Tas- te, um die primäre Funktion auszuwählen. Drücken Sie vorher die FUNC-Taste (Anzeige FUNC im Display leuchtet auf), wird stattdes- sen die sekundäre Funktion ausgelöst.
  • Seite 9 5.2.3. EMG / MEM Drücken Sie die EMG-Taste mehrfach, um zwischen dem aktuellen Kanal und Ihren eingespeicherten Notfallkanälen (siehe 7.1.11 auf Seite 13) durchzuschalten. Drücken Sie FUNC+EMG um in den Memory-Modus zu wechseln, wo Sie nur Ihre abgespeicherten Lieblingskanäle 1–16 verwenden. Drücken Sie die Kombination erneut, um zum normalen Betrieb zurückzukehren.

    5.2.5. DOWN / DW Drücken Sie die DOWN-Taste um den aktuellen Kanal zu verringern. Drücken Sie FUNC+DOWN um die Zweikanalüberwachung DW zu aktivieren. Das Gerät empfängt nun zusätzlich auf dem eingestellten Zweitkanal (siehe 7.1.10 auf Seite 13). 5.2.6. VOX / NRC Drücken Sie die VOX-Taste, um die Freisprechfunktion VOX zu akti- vieren.

    USB und LSB sind die beiden SSB-Modi. Diese Modulationsart unterdrückt die Trägerwelle, und kann daher mit dreifacher Leistung senden, was die Reichweite merklich erhöht. Durch den fehlenden Träger muss die Frequenz beider Geräte jedoch exakt übereinstim- men, daher können Sie in den SSB-Modi mit der Clarifier-Funktion die Empfangsfrequenz leicht nachstellen.

    4. Installation An antenna suitable for CB radio is required to operate this radio. Install the antenna at the desired location according to the instruc- tions.     5. Operation 5.1. Fundamentals The device switches on automatically when it is connected to the power supply. 5.1.1. Standby Press and hold the power button to put the device into standby mode. Depending on the setting (see 7.5.4 on page 43), either the current time is displayed or the display appears black.

    5.2. Speed dial buttons on the device You can quickly access the most important functions using the short- cut keys on the device. Press the corresponding key to select the primary function. If you press the FUNC key first (FUNC indicator lights up on the display), the secondary function is activated instead.
