INSTALLATION OF THE FRONT-MOUNTED ROLLER SHUTTER ON THE WINDOW FRAME
2 mm
Ordering instructions for installing front-mounted roller shut-
ters on window frames:
1.
Measure the actual width of the clear wall opening. Measure at the top, in the middle, and at the bottom, as wall openings
are often unevenly bricked or plastered.
2.
Now take the smallest measurement and subtract approx. 2 mm from this measurement on the left and right. We recom-
mend this deduction to allow for some leeway during installation. You can vary this measurement yourself to gain more or
less leeway.
Example:
If you have a clear width with the smallest measurement of 1,500 mm, deduct a total of 4 mm.
The order size, which you then have to enter in our configurator, is therefore 1,496 mm.
3.
Now measure the height of the clear wall opening.
Again, take three measurements: left, right, and center. Now take the smallest measurement and subtract 2 mm! The
height of the roller shutter box is determined by the height of the front-mounted roller shutter. You will find an overview
of box sizes on pages 13–14.
As standard, your front-mounted roller shutter is always delivered with the smallest possible box type. However, you have
the option of selecting a larger box type in the configurator. This makes sense, for example, if you have a window and a
door in close proximity and want the roller shutter box for the window to be the same size as the roller shutter box for the
door.
4.
Now determine the operating side (viewed from the outside) and the type of operation.
Ensure that there is sufficient space on the window frame for the operating mechanism to function. For example, fittings
may be in the way. We recommend motorized operation here!
