1. Place the bottom of the transmitter against the red target/half round
indicator on the receiver - the green indicator light will illuminate, followed
by the red indicator light.
2. When the red light comes on, move the transmitter away from the receiver.
The receiver will stop flashing.
To prolong battery life, the receiver and transmitter must always be switched
off after training. If you do not use the device for a longer period of time, we
recommend removing the batteries completely.
IMPORTANT: When switching on/off, simply hold the transmitter against
the receiver target for approximately 1 second. If you hold the device for
more than 5 seconds, the receiver will go into transmitter-receiver pairing
mode. This mode is indicated by 4 simultaneous flashes of the red and
green LEDs. If this occurs, follow the steps in Section 5.4 Pairing the
transmitter with the receiver.
5.4 Pairing the transmitter with the receiver
Each transmitter has its own radio operating code. In order for the transmitter
to communicate with your receiver, they must be paired together.
The d-control devices are not compatible with d-control mini. Pairing is done
in case you want to use another transmitter or receiver (e.g. in case of loss).
Transmitters designed for training two dogs can be paired with two receivers.
Use the 1/2 or A/B buttons to select one or the other dog.
IMPORTANT: Before pairing the transmitter and receiver, make sure no
one else is using their d-control in your vicinity. Your receiver could receive
another transmitter's code. This could allow someone else to transmit
commands to your dog. If this happens, re-pair your receiver with your
transmitter.
