Health and Safety Requirements as concerns the design
and construction of apparatus or systems of protection
intended for use in explosive atmospheres, described in
Annex II of the Directive..
Confidential report n° 00134 presents the results of the
examinations and tests.
(9) Compliance with Essential Health and Safety Require-
ments has been verified by means of compliance with:

EN 50020 : 1994
EN 50284 :1999
EN 50281-1-1 : 1998
(10) The symbol "X" when it is placed after the certificate num-
ber means that the apparatus or system of protection is
subject to the special conditions defined in the annex of
the certificate for use in total safety.
(11) This CERTIFICATE OF EC-TYPE EXAMINATION refers
exclusively to the design, examination and tests of the spe-
cified apparatus or system of protection, in keeping with
Directive 94/9/EC. Other requirements of this Directive can
be imposed on the manufacturing processes and the sup-
ply of this material or system of protection. These are not
covered by this certificate.
(12) The marking of the apparatus or system of protection
