7.4 Selecting °C/°F
The current value can be displayed either
in °C or °F. Press the °C/°F button as requi-
red to change back and forth. The display
is changed accordingly.

7.5 Reset

To reset the device, switch
it on and press down both
of the operating buttons at
the same time.
7.6 Fault(s)
A defect on the sensor is indicated with
three bars in the centre of the display.
A bar at the upper or lower edge of the dis-
play indicates that the measurement is out-
side the specified range.

7.7 Battery replacement

Replace the batteries when the battery war-
ning display comes on.
- Always replace all of the batteries together.
- Take the device out of the ex-area before opening
the device or changing the batteries.
- Use a size 10 Torx driver to unscrew both Torx
bolts and open the device.
- Slightly lift the rear panel of the device and take it
off.
- Take the batteries out of the battery holder and
replace them with approved new batteries.
- Make sure that the polarity of the inserted batte-
ries is correct.
- Fit the cover of the device in place. In doing so,
take care that no cables are trapped – only mini-
mal force should be required to assemble all of
the components.
- Screw in the 2 Torx bolts finger tight.
- Switch the device on and off again to check that
it works properly.
- Please ensure that all used batteries are properly
disposed of in an environmentally-friendly
manner.
