The ROCO GEOLINE points
All ROCO GEOLINE points are equipped with a mechanical drive, with which the position of the points can
be changed by means of the adjusting lever on the side of the acclivity, in the state of delivery.
Columns for attaching the absorbent caps and guides for the attaching spikes are found in the sub-base of
the points and installation hollows for the switch connectors are found in the arrival and departure area
of the points, apart from the attachment elements for the points actuator.

Polarizing of the cross frog of the points
The crossing point switches are polarised in order to avoid short circuits in these areas. This means that
these switches are separated from the power circuits and are supplied with the respective correct opera-
ting voltage polarity via a switch mechanism at the point machine. In order to guarantee a train operation
which is free of interruptions, the connector plug at the point machine, via which the polarisation of the
crossing is carried out, should not be removed.
Installation of the electrical drive
Both of the manual drives can be replaced with the electrical point machine (Art. 61195). It is to be obser-
ved during installation that the point machine is positioned in such a way that the connector plug is placed
facing outwards for the purpose of polarisation.
As a precaution, the electrical point machine is equipped with a limit stop switch. This helps to ensure that
no voltage is being applied to the spools after the positioning has been carried out. In doing so overhea-
ting can be avoided.
In order to provide protection to the spools it is recommended that the enclosed adhesive is applied
accordingly (Fig.10).
