Problem
The hob cannot be
tu rned on.
The touch cont rol s
are unresporalve.

The glass is being

Some pans make
cracking or clicking
noises.
The ceramic hob
makes a low
hummin g noise when
used on
a high heat settin g.
Fan noise comin g
from th e ceramic
hob.
Pans do not become
hot and app ears in
th e display.
Possible causes
No power .
The cont rols are locke d.
There may be a slight fi lm of
water over the cont rols or you
may b e using the tip of your
fin ger when touchin g the
cont rols .
Rough-edged cookw are.
Unsuitab le, abrasive scourer
or cleanin g procucts being
used.
This may be caused by th e
constructi on of your cookw are
(layers of differe nt m etals
vib ratin g differe nt ly).
This is caused by th e
technolog y of ceramic
cook ing.
A cool ing fan bui lt int o your
ceramic h ob has come on to
prevent th e electronics from
overheatin g. It may continu e
to run even aft er you'v e
um ed th e ceramic h ob off .
The ceramic h ob cannot
detect th e pan because it is
not suitab le for ceramic
cook ing.
The ceramic h ob cannot
detect th e pan because it is
too small for the cook ing zone
or not properly cent red on it .

What to do
Make sure the hob is
connedt ed to the power supp ly
and that it i s swit ched on.
Check wheth er there is a powe r
outa ge in your home or area. If
you `we chcked everythin g and th e
problem persists, call a qualifi ed
techni cian.
Unlock the cont rols , See secti on
` Using your ceramic cook top` for
instructi ons.
Make sure the touch cont rol area is
dry and use the ball of your fin ger
when touchin g the cont rols .
Use cookw are with flat and smooth

does not indi cate a fault.

should qui eten dow n or disapp ear
comp letely when you decrease the
heat settin g.

th e fan is runnin g.

Cent re the pan and ma ke sure that
it s base mat ches the size of th e
cook ing zone.
