REPLACING THE BLADE

When replacing the blade, always hold it from
the top! Not paying attention when replacing,
cleaning or carrying the blade can cause serious
injury.
Use an Allen wrench to loosen the screws on the left
and right side of the blade.
1. Raise the level 1.20 in. (3 cm) from the lowest
position.
2. Slightly loosen the socket head screws (no. 5)
using the Allen wrench provided.
3. Hold the blade from the top between your
thumb and fingers (keeping your hands away
from the cutting side of the blade!).
4. Loosen the socket head screws a few more turns,
but do not remove them completely.
5. The blade will drop downwards towards
the grooves somewhat and can be carefully
removed, while the socket head screws can be
removed through the top holes.
6. A new blade is attached following the same
steps in reverse order. The heads of the socket
head screws should fit snugly into the recessed
bottom holes. Tighten one screw first almost
completely. Next, tighten the other one and
then tighten both completely.
Again, be careful not to touch the cutting side of
the blade!
