Chairman Microphone Unit CU-200 SP

The chairman microphone unit is equipped with 2 buttons.

Switching on/off

The microphone units have no separate on/off switch. They are switched on and off with the microphone
button.

SETUP

A functional system consists of a conference amplifier CPA-5200, up to 60 consoles and the necessary
connection cables. All necessary cables for the basic system are included with the various components.
The following general rules must always be observed when setting up the system:
• Always switch off the power supply unit before connecting or disconnecting consoles
• Do not connect more than 15 consoles per 8 pole DIN socket
• Do not connect more than 60 consoles per system
• The total cable length from the power supply unit to the last console must not exceed 180 m
It is immaterial in which order the components are connected within the daisy chain. For example, the
chairman console does not have to be connected as the first console: it can be connected to the console
chain at any desired position.
If desired, the console chain can be connected as a loop. This improves the operational reliability since the
consoles will still have a functional connection in the case of a cable breakage within the loop.
Daisy Chain Connection
Connect the first console to the group input of the amplifier. The other microphone units are connected
according to the daisy chain principle, i.e. the second microphone unit is connected to the first one, the third
to the second one etc.
It is possible to connect up to 60 microphone units in four lines to the CPA-5200.

The lightring illuminates when the microphone of the console is active.
Loudspeaker
The Loudspeaker is switched off when the local microphone is
activated.
Microphone button
The microphone button allows the chairman to switch on his
microphone unit independingly from the number of open microhones at
any time.
Priority button
Activates the priority function of the chairman console. Pressing this
button switches off all other active microphones in the system and
activates the microphone of the chairman console.
LED to indicate the function (green/red)
Headphone socket
1/8" stereo headphone socket. The
console speaker switches off when you
connect headphones.
Headphone volume control
Adjusts the headphone volume.
