Connecting / removing the
suction and delivery lines
CAUTION!
Prevent foreign bodies from being sucked
in by installing a pre-filter.
NOTE!
Mount the pump unit such that it is free of
tension.
Suction and delivery lines are not included
in the delivery.
Use only pressure-resistant lines.
Always use Hanf screwed connectors and
sealant or Teflon sealing tape.
Note the following requirements when procuring
and installing the suction and delivery lines:
- Pressure, kinking and vacuum resistant.
- Diameter of at least 19.0 mm (3/4")
- The suction line should have a suction or non-
return valve to prevent water from flowing
back.
- Suction line should be laid with an upward
slope from the water source to the garden
pump.
- Mount the suction or non-return valve below
the low water level line of the source to prevent
the garden pump from running dry.
- Check the suction line for leaks regularly.
- Check the suction line for leaks regularly.
Connecting / removing the suction line (Fig. A)
The suction line (not included in the scope of
supply) can be connected directly or using the
threaded nipple (not included in the scope
of supply) to the inlet connection 7 of the
garden pump. The inlet connection has a G1 (1"
/ 33 mm) external thread.
• Place the suction line attachment or
the threaded nipple flush with the inlet
connection.
• If a suction line is directly connected without
a nipple, tighten the coupling nut (not
included in the scope of delivery) by hand in
clockwise direction.
• To loosen proceed in the reverse order.

Connecting the power

NOTE!
When using an extension cable, it should
match the safety category of the pump.
• Connect the garden pump only to a socket that
is properly earthed.
• The garden pump is designed for use with single
phase alternating current
220-240 V AC / 50 Hz. Check if the rated voltage
indicated on the rating plate matches the local
mains voltage.
• Ensure that the rated voltage stated on the
rating plate of the garden pump matches the
local mains voltage.
• To avoid safety risks, the mains cable or plug
should only be replaced by the manufacturer
or an authorised service centre or a qualified
person.
• Ensure that water does not come in contact with
the electrical parts of the garden pump, as well
as with anyone who is in the work area.
• Check whether the mains voltage of the socket
corresponds with the mains voltage indicated
on the rating plate.
Please note:
• Use an extension cable if the work area is not
close to the mains outlet. Ensure that the cross
section of the extension cable is at least
1.5 mm². If necessary, ask the dealer for advice
when purchasing.
