• Press the "P2" key, then press "■" and then press "▲". Each key press will be followed by a short beep sound, and the
last key press will be followed by 3 short beeps, and the electric drive will perform either 1 short reverse movement
(stopping the curtain movement) or 2 short reverse movements (full lifting of the curtain) or 3 short reverse movements
(lifting a bit above the obstacle).
5.8 Obstacle detection sensitivity (first degree by default)
If obstacles are falsely detected (for example, due to the influence of wind or when the curtain is jammed in the guides),
you can change the degree of sensitivity of the drive towards less sensitivity. If the detection of obstacles is not accurate
enough, you can increase the sensitivity.
• Press the "P2" key, then press "▲", then press "▲" once again and then press "P2", which will change the sensitivity
level in a circle from 1 to 3, after 3 it is followed by 1 again. Each key press will be followed by a short beep sound, and the
last key press will be followed by the number of short beeps corresponding to the degree of sensitivity, and the electric
drive will perform a series of short reversing movements that correspond to the sensitivity level.
Degrees of sensitivity:
1 - low sensitivity. This is suitable for situations where false alarms of obstacle detection occur (e.g. in strong winds).
2 - medium sensitivity.
3 - highest sensitivity. The drive can react even to minor obstacles.
5.9 Automatic adjustment of limit positions during drive operation
During the operation of VS-systems in some cases it is possible that the fabric stretches and wrinkles appear, which
deteriorates the appearance. To compensate for better stretching, if limit setting was done automatically, automatic
adjustment of limit positions will occur periodically. This will keep the curtain tension in its original condition.
If the limit setting was performed manually, automatic adjustment of limit positions will not occur.
6. ZIGBEE AND OTHER EXTERNAL MODULES
It is possible to connect Zigbee and other ALUTECH modules to the electric motor connector, expanding the possibilities
of controlling the VS-system using mobile and voice interfaces. See alutech-group.com for details.
Make sure to use compatible ALUTECH devices. Connect the corresponding connectors of the module and the motor
tightly. Make sure the connection is hermetically sealed. Follow the instructions in the Operation Manual for the module.
After connecting the module connector, press the "O" button on the head of the tubular motor for 3 seconds to activate
the power supply of the module. Upon activation, the module indicator will be flashing green slowly.
6.1 Adding a motor with an external module to the Alutech Smart app
Prepare the mobile application for adding according to the Operation Manual to the external module.
• Press successively the key of the remote control "P2", then the "▲" key and the "▼" key. After each press, a short beep
will sound, and the last key press will be followed by a short beep. The module indicator will start blinking red. Then follow
the instructions in the app.
6.2 Engaging the wires of the external module for control with a switch (deactivated by default).
The option is designed to control a two-key impulse wired switch connected to the module. If you do not use a switch, you
can shorten the wires by isolating the rest of the wire separately and excluding it from getting into the rotating parts of the
VS-system.
ATTENTION! Do not accidentally short-circuit wires due to vibration or moisture. Insulate the wires and
deactivate them if you are not using a wired switch.
• Press and hold the "O" key on the head of the tubular electric motor for 10 seconds, until a second beep sounds, then
release the button, a short beep will sound and the electric motor tube will make a short reverse movement (option
deactivated), or a short beep will sound and the electric motor tube will make 3 short reverse movements (option
activated).
7. RETURN TO FACTORY DEFAULTS
To return to the factory defaults of the motor, press and hold the key "O" on its head for at least 30 seconds, until the third
beep sounds, then release the button. After that, a short reverse movement will be performed and the electric motor will
be unavailable during the process of resetting to factory defaults, for approximately 10-15 minutes. After returning to
factory defaults, you will hear 3 short beeps.
