•
Do not position your body in the area where the power tool will move if kickback occurs.
The kickback will propel the tool in the direction opposite to the wheel's movement at the
point of snagging.
•
Use special care when working corners, sharp edges, etc. Avoid bouncing and snagging the
attachment. Corners, sharp edges or a bouncing tool have a tendency to snag the rotating
attachment and cause a loss of control or kickback.
•
Do not use a chain or jagged saw blades. Such attachments create frequent kickback and
loss of control over the power tool.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALISED SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR SANDPAPER
Do not use any oversized sandpaper, but rather follow the manufacturer's information about the
proper size of the sandpaper for this machine. Larger sandpaper extending beyond the sanding pad
can cause injury as well as jamming, ripping of the sandpaper, or kickback.
The voltage of electrical source must be in accordance with the identification plate. If the power
supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
After replacing a cable or a plug, the old cable, more importantly, the old plug must be disposed
of immediately. The plugging-in of a loose cable in a power socket is dangerous. Only use approved
extension cables, that are designed for the power input of the machine. The conductors must have
a minimum cross-section of 1.5mm². When using a cable wheel or reel, the cable needs to be
completely reeled off. Avoid bodily contact with the cable.
While working with this tool, the dust caused can be dangerous to one's health:
While working with a sander always wear eye protection and a dust mask.
Do not work with material containing asbestos. Asbestos is known to cause cancer.
Special caution while sanding material containing lead:
•
All persons, that are working with the machine or entering the workspace, must wear a
