INSTRUCTION MANUAL - Before using your DJCONTROL MIX ULTRA
To charge DJCONTROL MIX ULTRA, connect it

to a USB power source.

When the battery is charged, the "Battery" indicator
light turns o . You can disconnect the USB cable
and use the controller.
If you want to preview the track on headphones:
- On a smartphone without a headphones output, connect a
USB-C or Lightning to 1/8" / 3.5 mm mini-jack adapter.
- Connect the splitter cable to the smartphone or tablet's
headphones output.
- In djay, go to Settings, then Pre-Cueing and set it to Split
Output.
- Connect wired headphones to the splitter cable's green
output, and wired speakers to the black output.
If you do not want to preview the track on headphones,
play the mix on:
- wired speakers/headphones connected to your smartphone
or tablet's headphones output;
- Bluetooth speakers/headphones paired with your
smartphone or tablet; or
- your smartphone or tablet's built-in speaker.

To power on DJCONTROL MIX ULTRA, set the

Enable location access and the Bluetooth®
feature on your smartphone or tablet.

Open the Google Play Store or Apple App

Store on your smartphone or tablet. Install
djay from Algoriddim on your smartphone or
tablet.
Disable the smartphone screen timeout before a mixing session.
- In Android: select Settings > Display > Screen Timeout > Never (or a length that is longer
than the longest track).

- In iOS: select Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock > Never (or a length that is
longer than the longest track).
Return to the previous setting at the end of the mixing session.
If you close djay or if the smartphone enters sleep mode, the MIDI Bluetooth pairing is

forgotten. You must pair the controller again as described in step 5, and each time you
open a session in djay.
In addition to the tracks stored on your smartphone, you can browse the SoundCloud
service in djay to nd out if you have free access to certain tracks.
Select the list of sources, choose SoundCloud, then a playlist, and check out the tracks.
These tracks are easy to mix, but access to them is neither permanent nor de nitive.
In djay, tap the djay icon (yellow circle with a

white ring) then tap Settings. In the settings,
tap MIDI , Scan for Bluetooth MIDI Devices,
then select DJCONTROL MIX ULTRA.
