Grounding the UVC device
You should ground the UVC before commissioning
by properly connecting the earth cable (A) from
the power supply to the earth pin (B) on the plastic
part of the UVC on the inlet side.
Ground the UVC device in the order shown below.
B
Slide the eye of the earthing cable (A) over the
1
grounding pin (B) that is attached onto the housing
(C).
Slide the first toothed washer (D) over the
2
grounding pin.
Tighten the hexagon nut (E) onto the grounding
3
pin.
Slide the second toothed washer (D) over the
4
grounding pin.
Clip the strain relief clip (F) around the grounding
5
cable approx. 10 cm from the metal eye (A).
Slide the eye of the strain relief clip (F) over the
6
grounding pin so that the grounding cable makes a
loop.
Tighten the locknut (G) on the grounding pin
7
(tighten carefully).

Installation
The UVC device must be placed in a dry, well-ventilated
area, not exposed to direct sunlight. The best position is (if
possible) behind the filter, take the accessibility for
maintenance in mind. See technical data for the correct
pump capacity.
You can connect the SuperFish Alu Tech UVC with
C
pond hoses or glue it with PVC pipes.
Use the already mounted ø63 mm couplings for
1
ø63 mm pipes (T).
When using pond hoses or when using ø50 mm PVC
2
pipes, cut off the Multi-step couplings (S) to the
correct size.
The Double Head input and Triple Head output
D
connection makes the UVC device easy to install in
various ways.
Carefully unpack the UV lamp (J) and insert the
E
lamp into the lamp holder (L).
Carefully slide the lamp and lamp holder into the
1
quartz glass (K). There is a baffle in the head of the
quartz glass, this should fall into the lamp holder's
safety switch, so that the switch is pushed in when
mounted.
